Will's Irrigation Project: Working to Equip Rural Subsistence Farmers

Will Rainey is working with We Can Africa™ to develop an innovative and cost effective way for families to access and use the large amounts of rainwater they are harvesting in giant irrigation ponds. The pump Will is building will literally "unlock" up to 200,000 liters of water for irrigating crops during the dry season and frequent droughts. The water delivered by Will's pump will help guarantee a family's food security and dramatically increase their income by enabling them to farm year-round. During his time in Kenya, William will be teaching families to build their own pumps with locally sourced materials.
